Wedding Cake Order & Design Process


​The cake is an important part of your wedding day. Along with the first dance and the bouquet toss the cutting of the cake is a charming tradition which graces most wedding albums, and the cake cutting symbolises one of the first things you do together as a married couple. 

Securing Your Date​

The first step is to check my availability for your date. To fully commit to each order, I only take 2 wedding cake order per week and therefore dates can fill up quickly. I would suggest getting in touch once you have booked your venue.

A £100 non-refundable booking fee is required to secure your date and booking. We can discuss your design ideas at this stage but will finalise your design closer to your wedding date as ideas can change a lot over the course of planning your wedding.

Tasting


​For the most delicious part of your wedding planning, you can enjoy our delicious cake flavours before your special day. The taster box includes a variety of my most popular flavours plus  sugar cookie, before the design consultation. 

I offer tasters 3 or 4 times a year. They are not included in the cost of the wedding and are £25.

Design Consultation


​After securing your date with me, I will contact you , usually 6-9 months before your wedding to arrange a suitable time for your design consultation.

During the consultation we will talk about your venue, styling, timings, and your aspirations for the day. We will also discuss how your cake will be presented, your chosen cake flavours, and any ideas you have for your cake. I would suggest bringing along any images and inspirational ideas for colours, textures, flowers, styles etc, which will help with the design process.

I will draw a rough sketch then after your consultation I will send you a completed sketch of your wedding cake. Once your design is confirmed I will send you an invoice confirming all the details. 

Delivery & Set-up


​I contact your venue before your wedding date to confirm the delivery and set-up time, and will provide them with your cake information including allergen details.

Any handmade sugar flowers are a beautiful memento of your cake and your special day, and will keep indefinitely if kept in a cool ,dry environment away from direct sunlight. I will provide the venue with a box to store them in once removed from your cake, to give to you.
